Local residents, businesses, churches, and organizations will be able to help those less fortunate this holiday season by stopping by the Augusta High School and choosing a paper ornament containing the Christmas wish list of an Augusta student. The wish lists are from several families in our area who are in need of assistance.
The process of helping is simple: select an ornament, sign up, purchase and wrap the gift, and return it to the high school by Friday, Dec. 14th.
“There is such a need this year, that we couldn’t ignore the number of families who would go without...I am hopeful that many in our community will select an ornament from the Giving Tree and purchase that item in the spirit of giving. Helping someone in need is a perfect example of the love that this season is all about,” AHS counselor Alisha Bodyk said.
Bodyk advised that there are approximately 75 ornaments from which to choose.
