Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, in partnership with Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital, would like to take time this holiday season to honor the memory of loved ones in the El Dorado community.
At 7 p.m. Thursday, a special tree lighting ceremony will take place on the front lawn of Susan B. Allen Hospital.
“The purpose of this memorial service is to not only honor the memory of those who have passed away, but to also thank the El Dorado community for allowing us the privilege of being able to serve those affected by end of life,” said Vickie Prince, vice president of Provider Relations.
The tree will remain lit during the holiday season for community members to pause, reflect and remember someone special this holiday season.
A reception will follow in the Wiedemann Health Education Building.
“This tree lighting ceremony will be a way for family and loved ones to honor the memory of those close to their heart that have passed away,” said Lisa Gipson, a volunteer for Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. “It is my hope this community receives comfort and peace when they attend this ceremony.”
Celebrating their 30th year of service, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice continues to offer quality, nonprofit service to those affected by end of life.
Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice serves Butler County and 24 other counties in South Central and Southeast Kansas.
