She was born on January 31, 1927, to Matthew and Devena (Seybold) Woodhead on the homestead in McLouth, the third of six children. Myrtice graduated from McLouth High School. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with Jerry taking special trips to Alaska and France, where they attended a reunion of fellow World War II veterans. After Jerry’s death, Myrtice moved to Hesston in 1999 to be near family, where she continued her hobbies and became an active participant at the Hesston Wellness Center.
