Dorothy A. Turner, 97, of El Dorado, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 14 in El Dorado. Celebration of her life will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Temple Baptist Church in El Dorado. Interment will follow at Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
Dorothy was born on July 19, 1915 in Cushing, Okla., the daughter of Albert F. and Susie A. (Hobbs) Barnes. She was a riveter for Boeing Aircraft for 30 years. Dorothy enjoyed reading and being in the company of cats. She also liked to write.
She leaves her children, Shirley Ricker of El Dorado, Fred Woelk, Jr. of Booneville, Mo., Darrell Woelk of Florence and William Turner of Wichita; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 19 great-great grandchildren.
Her parents and both husbands, Fred Woelk and Willard Turner, preceded Dorothy in death.
