On behalf of the administrators of the partnering entities that have stayed the course to convert the long-standing dream of a new stadium and outdoor gathering space-- BG Products Veterans Sports Complex -- into reality, we seek this opportunity to thank the organizations and citizens of El Dorado who “dreamed things that never were and said why not?”
With full recognition that we were building this airplane as it was being flown, we know there were a few bumps during its inaugural flight. To those who so admirably managed the bumps, we want to publicly express our sincere appreciation.
While too numerous to mention the many individuals involved, there are a few that should be singled out: Butler County Emergency Management/Homeland Security CERT volunteers; the El Dorado Cadets and Police Department volunteers; the City of El Dorado staff; USD 490 and Butler game day event managers, athletic departments, maintenance and custodial staffs, and the information technology and media resources staffs.
Last, but absolutely not least, thank you to the steadfast supporters of all things good for the City of El Dorado, USD 490 and Butler Community College.
- Sue Givens, Superintendent, USD 490
- Herb Llewellyn, City Manager, City of El Dorado
- Jackie Vietti, President, Butler Community College
