A group of local citizens has joined together to host a Thanksgiving dinner with turkey and all the trimmings on Thanksgiving Day. The invitation is open to anyone and the free meal will be served between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving, Nov. 22, at Frye Auto, 603 W. 7th in Augusta.
Are you going to be home along, don’t feel like cooking a traditional turkey dinner for just two people, or just want to celebrate the season with friends? You’re invited to this community luncheon - come one - come all!
Volunteers are needed and there is a job for everyone. Setting up tables and chairs, greeters, serving meals, busing tables, keeping drinks refilled, clean-up, etc. You won’t have to spend the day - just an hour or two would be great.
For more information, to volunteer, or to donate, contact Kelly at 316-258-1598, or Sue at 316-644-8537.
A special thanks to all the “Generous Hearts” in Augusta for making this possible and to Lee Frye for use of is building.
