  • With winter snow and ice coming, the City Council should improve the second block of Harrington for the middle school students. Around 20 students walk down that street to go to their homes on Helen, Wirth, and Leckliter Streets. That is the only street going west, unless you go on Summit St. The street is low where the alley exits on the north side and on the south side, it has looked like a jungle for some time.

Good Samaritans still exist! Last Friday night, unbeknownst I dropped my debit card from my pocket in an Augusta parking lot. An hour or so later, there was a knock at my door. An individual had not only found my card, but had gone home and looked up my name and address on whitepages.com to track me down! All I can say is “Wow!” I was so surprised that I didn’t catch her name and I wish I had. If she reads this, I’d like her to know that I am in awe of her kindness and generosity. Thank you.
