Tri-County CASA, Inc. and Butler Community College Foundation will present an evening of fine dining and murder mystery intrigue beginning at 6 p.m. Proceeds from the event will be used to support, train and recruit Tri-County CASA volunteers.
The evening’s entertainment will be an original murder mystery entitled. “It’s a Hangin’ Offense,” set in 1870.
Sheriff Lance Parker, played by attorney Josh Andrews, is hot on the trail of a gang of horse thieves and a murderer. The sheriff receives assistance from the ladies at the Silver Star Saloon and the mysterious “Voice of the 21st Century.” The saloon scene includes a production number by the cast.
Following the presentation of the evidence, each table will submit a solution to the mystery. The players will then act out the balance of the play, revealing the real perpetrator. The table submitting the winning solution will win a prize.
Prior to the performance, guests will enjoy a social time, followed by a buffet dinner catered by Great Western Dining. Guests will also have an opportunity to bid on both live and silent auction items.
The Welcome Center is located on the Butler Community College campus,
Tickets for the evening are available by calling the Tri-County CASA office at 316-320-0238.
