For the past 10 years, Marsha Todd and her therapy dog Cagney have helped brighten students’ days.
Todd recently wrote a book titled “Cagney Professional Therapy Dog.”
“It’s about Cagney and what therapy dogs do,” said Todd’s husband Dennis. “They’ve worked together for 10 years. They’ve been a team, and they’ve affected a lot of kids at school.”
Marsha Todd has worked as a school counselor in Wichita, and has used Cagney to help her soothe upset students and to help teach them how to properly interact with dogs.
Cagney, who is 12 years old, is being retired from her work as a therapy dog.
Marsha Todd will sign copies of her book at Bradford Memorial Library from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 29 and from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church on Nov. 5.
