Overnight temps will fall into the 20's

The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Watch for Southern Kansas, including Butler County, for Friday evening into early Saturday. Overnight temperatures are expected to fall into the 20's, bringing the possibility of what forecasters refer to as a "killing freeze" (conditions that could kill crops and sensitive vegetation). Daytime highs are only expected to reach the 50's through the weekend, so plan on dressing a little more warmly that you've had to the last few days!

Today, in addition to the lower temps, we'll get to enjoy some gusty north/northwest winds. Sustained winds are expected to run 25 mph or higher, with gusts as high as 36 mph possible.
