Joshua and Brianne Taylor were married June 8, 2012 at St. Teresa's Chapel in Emporia in a ceremony performed by Father Ray May.
She is the daughter of Mike and Laureen Simon of Leon and he is the son of Diedra Taylor of Salina.
Maid of honor was Renee Simon, sister of the bride, and bridesmaids were Julie Miller, Lindsay Jarvis, Trinity Standrige and Caelee Gibbs.
Ross Rundell was best man, and groomsmen were Jordan Dykes, Chad Nulik, James Lawson and Luke Lehman.
Grandparents of the couple are Charles and Joann Simon of Leon, Anthony and Bernedette Kostelec of Kansas City, Tim and Elaine Burch of Piedmont, Ala., Jim and Sharon Day of Galena, Kan., and the late Gene Humphrey of Salina.
Brianne is a 2006 2006 graduate of Flinthills High School and Joshua is a 2008 graduate of Salina Central High School.
They both graduated from Emporia State University and are attending graduate school at West Virginia University. The couple first met at ESU when they were both cast in a production of "Glass Menagerie." Brianne is pursuing a MFA in Acting and Josh is pursuing a MFA in Light Tech/Design. She teaches Acting 1 at WVU and he is resident electrician at The Metropolitan Theatre.
They were married surrounded by loving family and friends, the best group of people to serve as examples and give unending support.
