Judy Hawkins, pharmacist and diabetes educator from Susan B. Allen hospital will be on hand to talk about diabetes and answer questions.
"The prevalence of type 2 diabetes increased 21% among American youth from 2001 to 2009, while type 1 diabetes rose 23 percent, per the American Diabetes Association. Also, increasing obesity rates are partly to blame for the increasing prevalence of type 2 diabetes,” stated Judy Hawkins.Attend and join the discussion, the public is welcome.
