  • Senior Center Breakfast
    Augusta Senior Center will host the monthly breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13. A delicious biscuits, sausage gravy breakfast with all the trimmings for a small donation of $3.
     
    Douglass Frontier’s Day
    Thursday through Sunday with lots of fun activities, including a parade at 10 a.m. on Saturday. A carnival will operate all three days.
     
    Augusta Airport Fly-In/Drive-In
    The Augusta Municipal Airport will host the 2012 Fly In/Drive In from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13.
    The event is free to the public. The morning kicks off with a biscuit and gravy breakfast.
    Lunch will be provided by the Augusta First United Methodist Church with all proceeds going to support the youth programs at the church.
    The Fly-In is for local pilots and car enthusiasts alike. A B-52 simulator will be there, as well as several other cockpit simulators made by Boeing, including the 737.
     
    Cemetery Tour
    The first annual Cemetery Tour of Augusta’s Elmwood Cemetery will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13. The 2 p.m. tour is sold out, but tickets for the 4 p.m. tour are still available. Augusta Historical Museum Director Rachelle Meinecke will be the tour guide, visiting the final resting place of Augusta’s first settlers, celebrities and scoundrels.
    Vince Marshall will be demonstrating and teaching the art of grave dowsing.
    Tickets may be purchased at the Augusta Historical Museum, 303 State St. and Cooper Drug, 509 State St.
     
    Paranormal Investigation
    This is your chance to be a part of a genuine paranormal investigation right here in Augusta at the Kansas Museum of Military History from 9 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, Oct. 13. Visit:wwwmoonlitghosthunts.com to purchase tickets.
     
     
    Bring A Friend Day
    The Augusta Church of Christ, 3500 N. Ohio, will be hosting Bring A Friend to Church this Sunday, Oct. 14th.
    The congregation will invite friends and guests to share in a special morning worship followed by a fellowship meal.
