The Augusta Municipal Airport will host the 2012 Fly In/Drive In from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13.
The event is free to the public. The morning kicks off with a biscuit and gravy breakfast.
Lunch will be provided by the Augusta First United Methodist Church with all proceeds going to support the youth programs at the church.
The Fly-In is for local pilots and car enthusiasts alike.
There will be judging in the car show and trophies for the winners in each class.
Aviation gasoline will be discounted 50 cents for the event, making Augusta’s fuel the cheapest in the region.
A B-52 simulator will be there, as well as several other cockpit simulators made by Boeing, including the 737.
The Commemorative Air Force will display a WWII vintage aircraft, as well as their PX.
Music will be provided by Ron Reavis and their will be door prizes donated by local sponsors, including Walmart, Dillon’s, ACE Hardware, Cooper Drug, and Hawker Beechcraft.
The public is invited to this annual signature event.
