Time to break your coats out of hibernation if you have not already done so! They will likely be needed this weekend at least for the morning hours. Temperatures today are forecast near 60 degrees; however, North northeast winds of 11 to 17 mph gusting to 26 mph will make it feel cooler. Tonight temperatures will drop into the upper 30s with North winds at 6 to 13 mph.
Saturday – The high temperature is only forecast to reach 50 degrees. There is a slight chance that showers may visit the area. Winds will be northerly at 5 to 13 mph.
Saturday Night – Temperatures are expected to fall into the low 30s. The graphic below depicts that a Freeze Watch is in effect for Saturday Night/Sunday morning – however, Butler County has been excluded from that watch. Our bordering counties of Harvey, Marion, Chase and Greenwood are included.
Sunday – Areas of frost will be possible before 9am. Temperatures are forecast to climb to near 60 degrees and light winds of 5 to 9 mph are possible. Sunday night temperatures in the upper 30s can be expected.
Monday – By the start of the work week, temperatures will be on the rebound. Forecasters are calling for temperatures in mid 60s to 70 degree range for highs while the night time lows will be in the upper 40s.
