LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas and Kansas State will kick off the 2012 Sunflower Showdown at 11 a.m., with a live broadcast on FX, it was announced Monday morning. The Jayhawks and Wildcats will go to battle at Bill Snyder Stadium in Manhattan on Saturday, Oct. 6 in both schools’ second conference game of the season.
The Jayhawks lead the all-time series with the Wildcats, 65-39-5, but have lost three-straight to KSU entering the 2012 contest. Kansas owns a 28-23-3 advantage in games played in Manhattan and have picked up a 30-24 win over the Wildcats in 2007.
Both KU and KSU will be making their second appearance of the season on FX, as Kansas State defeated Miami in the second week of the 2012 season on the network and the Jayhawks fell to TCU in week three in their first game on FX.
