Starting next week, the Kansas Department of Transportation will have a field survey team surveying a section of US-54 in Butler County.
Starting around Oct.8, and continuing for four months, the Kansas Department of Transportation will have a field survey team surveying a section of US-54 in Butler County, beginning near Andover Road and continuing east eight miles to Augusta. The purpose of the survey is to gather information necessary to create detailed designs for future construction projects.
Survey activities will include the use of survey equipment on the ground to determine locations on existing features within the survey corridor.
Charles Brooksher, L.S., Party Chief with the firm of Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC) will be in charge of this survey for KDOT. A member of the survey crew will contact landowners and/or tenants for permission to enter private property.
