Robert G. “Bob” McCurdy, 66, of El Dorado, died at his home Sunday morning.
Robert G. “Bob” McCurdy, 66, of El Dorado, died at his home Sunday morning. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Walnut Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bob was born the son of William E. and Betty J. (Duran) McCurdy in Iowa. He came to Wichita as a teenager and graduated from high school. He served his country in Vietnam in the U.S. Navy. Bob was united in marriage to Pat Wilson. He was employed as a truckdriver for Coleman and Wichita Steel. He loved to hunt , fish and garden. He was always ready for a cookout with his family.
Surviving family include his wife, Pat of the home; one son, Jesse Rollins close to Atlanta; daughters, Danette Sipper, near Atlanta, and Christy Solyom of Texas; brothers, Donald Sanborn of Wichita and William McCurdy of Colorado; and three grandchildren.
