  • Kemp to celebrate 80th birthday

  • The family of Leland “Fred” Kemp of Towanda will be honoring him with an 80th birthday celebration on Sunday, Oct. 7 at the El Dorado Train Depot, 430 N. Main.

  • The family of Leland “Fred” Kemp of Towanda will be honoring him with an 80th birthday celebration on Sunday, Oct. 7 at the El Dorado Train Depot, 430 N. Main.
    The come-and-go reception is from 2 to 5 p.m. All friends, former students, fellow faculty members and co-workers are cordially invited to help celebrate Fred’s special day. No gifts please.
    Fred was a guidance counselor and teacher at Circle High School in Towanda from 1965 through 1977. From 1978 until his retirement in 1995, he worked for Texaco in El Dorado. In his retirement, he has remained an active member of the Towanda United Methodist Church, Lions Club, and several other local service organizations.
