  • The El Dorado Varsity tennis team was delayed twice by lightning but it was well worth the wait as they garnered three more medals at the Augusta quad Tuesday evening.
The ladies placed second with 19 points behind Andover Central.
The 2 doubles team of Katy Randall and Kayla Barrett went unbeaten to take gold while Morgan Limon and Maddy Armstrong at 1 doubles and Abby Kunkel at 2 singles took home silver. Lauren Eustice finished strong with a win at 1 singles as well.
“As our season is coming to a close, I’m so proud of how this group of seniors (Limon, Randall, and Barrett) has stayed with us and is now seeing their hard work come to fruition,” said coach Kent Kunkel.
As a team, the Wildcats finished with a record of 8-4.
The Wildcats have a few days off before their next action at the tough Division 3,4 AVCTL league meet in Wichita next Monday.
