Frankie Elizabeth Prewitt, 100 years old, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at Lake Point of El Dorado. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cassoday United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Cassoday Cemetery.
Frankie was born on Dec. 23, 1911 on the family farm NW of Potwin, the daughter of Noah and Mary Emily Swob Artz. She was the youngest of 13 children. She attended Potwin Schools all her school years and graduated from high school in May of 1930. She was a farmer all her life. On March 10, 1945, she was married to Glen Prewitt in El Dorado, and they celebrated 49 years of married life before his passing on Jan. 12, 1995. She lived on a farm SW of Cassoday from 1945 to 1955, and then in Clifford Township for 36 years before moving to town in 1991. Frankie worked hard on the farm and enjoyed baking and cooking.
Those who survive include nieces and nephews and many great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers and six sisters, her husband her parents.
