  • The El Dorado City Commission will consider an ordinance allowing the operation of special purpose vehicles within the city limits during their meeting Monday.
This would include golf carts, mini trucks and utility vehicles on city streets, but there were state regulations that limited that to
streets with a speed limit no greater than 30 miles per hour. During their last meeting, the Commission expressed concern about limitations that would impose and asked city staff to investigate it further.
They will be presented with the ordinance drafted by city staff.
    In other business, the commission:
    • will appoint members to the Sales Tax Task Force.
    • consider a project extending waterlines to the new middle school.
    • consider waterline improvements on Boyer Road and Towanda Avenue, as well as the 300 block of South Main.
They will meet at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
