  • The Remington Broncos volleyball team participated in the Flinthills tournament this past weekend.
    The Broncos opened up pool play against host Flinthills and were victorious in two games winning 25-16 and 25-12.
    Madison Janzen had 11 good attacks with 3 kills and 13 assists.
    Emma Hilgenfeld had 12 good attacks with 8 kills and 8 total blocks. She also served perfect with 8.
    Megan McNeill had 5 good attacks with 2 kills and 5 total blocks for the match.
    Deanna Ingalsbe had 5 good attacks and 6 total blocks with 4 being stuffs. Kristyn Wedel had 4 good attacks.
    Alyssa Hinz served 14/15 with 3 aces.
    In their second match of pool play Remington faced Altoona Midway and again won in two games going 25-12 and 25-9.
    Rose Dollarhide had 16 good sets with 7 assists.
    Alyssa Hinz had 6 good attacks with 4 kills and perfect serving with 9. Kylee Schunn had 13 good passes and served perfect with 12.
    Nicole Minder had 12/12 serving. Deanna Ingalsbe had 4 good attacks with 3 being kills.
    The Broncos played Elk Valley in their third match on Saturday and stayed undefeated needing only two games going 25-11 and 25-7.
    Nicole Minder had 9 good attacks with 4 kills. Emma Hilgenfeld had 6 good attacks, all being kills.
    Kristyn Wedel had 4 good attacks with 3 being kills. Megan McNeill had 4 good attacks with 2 kills.
    Rose Dollarhide had 12 good sets with 7 assists. Madison Janzen served 19/21 with 15 aces.
    Remington won their fourth match against Wichita Home School in two games 25-9 and 25-18.
    Nicole Minder had 14 good attacks with 7 being kills. Megan McNeill had 5 good attacks and 4 total blocks.
    Madison Janzen had 8 good attacks with 3 being kills and 14 assists for the match.
    Alyssa Hinz was 13/13 serving with 3 aces. Emma Hilgenfeld served 13/14 for the match. Kylee Schunn had 18 good passes and 3 good attacks.
    The Broncos took on Chase County in the semi-finals and won in two games 25-21 and 25-17.
    Deanna Ingalsbe had 11 blocks with 3 being stuffs. Emma Hilgenfeld had 16 good attacks with 7 being kills.
    Madison Janzen had 17 good attacks with 6 being kills. Alyssa Hinz had 9 good attacks with 2 being kills.
    Kristyn Wedel had 6 good attacks with 1 kill. Kylee Schunn had 12 good passes and 5 good attacks with 2 being kills. Nicole Minder was 15/15 serving.
    In the finals, Remington faced Cedarville/Dexter and lost their only decision on the day in two hard fought games 20-25 and 23-25.
    Madison Janzen had 15 good attacks with 8 kills. Emma Hilgenfeld had 10 good attacks with 3 being kills and 12 total blocks.
    Nicole Minder had 11 good attacks with 4 being kills and perfect serving with 10. Kylee Schunn had 9/9 serving and 18 good passes.
    Page 2 of 2 - Jasmine Ingalsbe had 8 good passes. Rose Dollarhide served perfect for the tournament.
    Remington went 5-1 on Saturday placing 2nd overall in the tournament.
     
    Remington hosts triangular with Berean and Hutch Trinity
    The Broncos played Hutch Trinity first on Tuesday and were beaten 19-25 and 19-25.
    Emma Hilgenfeld had 18 total blocks and 6 good attacks. Madison Janzen had 10 good attacks with 3 kills.
    Kylee Schunn had 14 good passes for the match. Megan McNeill had 3 good attacks.
    Remington closed out the night against Berean with a straight set victory winning 25-17 and 25-19.
    Alyssa Hinz served 9/9 and had 4 good attacks with 2 kills. Nicole Minder served perfect with nine and had 4 good attacks and 7 total blocks.
    Deanna Ingalsbe had 14 total blocks with 5 being stuffs. Kristyn Wedel had 4 kills for the match.
    Rose Dollarhide served 12/13 and had 3 assists.
    Remington now moves to 9-6 overall. 2-2 in Heart of America League.
