The El Dorado Middle School 8th grade B team girls fought and came away with a hard earned win after three sets against Mulvane on Thursday.
The Cats won the first set 25-23, then lost the second 15-25, and rallied back in the third set to win 15-10.
Ally Martinez led the Cats in kills and digs with nine. Alexis Garcia led the team in points on serves with nine of her own, followed by Delaney Taylor and Abigail Connor, each with four.
The 8th grade A team did not come away with a victory and lost the first set 21-25 and the second 17-25.
"They played well and are learning a lot with each chance to be on the court," said head coach Tara Triplett.
Cherokee Reagan led the team in kills with two. Sydney Harper led in digs with five and Caedyn Reinhardt led the team in scoring on serves with eight.
The 7th Grade teams also took on Mulvane.
The 7th grade A team lost in straight sets 12-25 and 25-8.
Meadow Gray led the Cats serving with 5 points.
The B team could not find victory as well and lost 14-25 and 23-25.
Mellissa Fry and Rianne Showalter led the serving with 3 points each.
In the second game, the Cats were up 23-18, but could not close out the victory.
The Cats next game will be at home against Prairie Hills on Sept. 13.
