On Thursday, the El Dorado High School Girls tennis team participated in the Circle Invitational.  The Lady Wildcats went 6-6 on the day and scored 22 points.
“We moved Tiffiny Nguyen up from JV and she found her first victory at 1 singles and lost a heartbreaker in her second match.  If she keeps improving, she’ll be a solid performer for us in the future,” said El Dorado head coach Kent Kunkel.
Nguyen went 1-2 and finished in seventh place.
Morgan Limon earned her first singles victories for the year for 5th place.
“She’s played doubles virtually her whole career so this is new to her but she’s doing very well,” said Kunkel.
For the doubles teams, Katy Randall and Kayla Barrett lost their first two matches where they had the lead but came back strong to win their last match.
Lauren Eustice and Maddy Armstrong played together for the first time but found their way to victory twice after losing their first round match for 5th place.
“We need to keep building on the successes we accomplish and not be satisfied with where we’re at.  I’m hoping the girls will challenge themselves to improve the rest of the season,”  said Kunkel.
