  • Downtown Augusta has a new cheerleader. Holly Ross is the now the Executive Director of Downtown Augusta, Inc., an accredited Kansas Main Street partner.
    She’s excited to be working with the board of directors and volunteers who continue to strive in making Augusta’s downtown a vibrant area for residents and visitors.
    “It’s wonderful to be here, I love it! I’ve enjoyed meeting some of the people downtown and I’m excited about meeting more,” Holly advised.
    She grew up in Eureka, attended college on a rodeo scholarship and majored in Wellness Promotion, with a minor in Spanish. She’s a seasoned rodeo and barrel racing participant.
    For the past four years, she was the administrative assistant for the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce.
    She and her husband Brandon and young son, Wacey, currently live in Cassoday, but plan to move to this area soon.
    “Right now it’s all about making the members happy and increasing our membership. I look forward to working with everyone,” she said.
