John Hurlburt, 83, of Andover, retired from Sunflower Roofing, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012.
He was born Dec. 30, 1928 in El Dorado, the son of Oakley and Marie Hurlburt. He worked as a sheet metal foreman. He was in the U.S. Marines.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oakley and Marie Hurlburt; brother, Jerry Hurlburt; and sister, Dorothy Binter. John is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ramona; sons, Whit (Sherri) Hurlburt of El Dorado, Chuck (Becca) Hurlburt of Farmington, Ark., Leta (Savoy) Nixon of El Dorado, Sharon Knotts of Andover, Gerald Matthews (Debbie) of El Dorado and Julie (Alen) Schrader of El Dorado; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Hurlburt of El Dorado; and sisters, Eloise Day of Augusta and Kathryn Seigrist of Andover.
