  • The El Dorado Middle School volleyball teams opened up their seasons on the road Thursday at Winfield
    Both 8th grade volleyball teams were unable to grab victories in their games games against Winfield Thursday night.
    The El Dorado 8th grade B team lost 15-25 and 24-26.
    "They played very well but their jitters got the best of them," said coach Tara Triplett.
    Cassie Harris led the Cats with two kills, Abbi Manke led with 8 sets, and Caitlynn Hamilton led the team in scoring on serves with 12 points.
    The 8th grade A team also lost in two games going 21-25 and 24-26.
    Kylea McArdle led with one kill and Braylon Daniels led the team with 16 sets along with scoring 8 points on serves.
    7th Grade Girls Volleyball
    The 7th grade teams were also could not grab a victory visiting Winfield.
    The 7th grade A team lost in two game 11-25 and 9-25.
    The leading server for the Cats was Hollie Gregg scoring 5 points.
    The 7th grade B team took Winfield to three games but lost 18-25, 25-23 and 10-15.
    The Cats Rianne Showalter led all serving with 8 points.
    The Cats will stay on the road for their next action which will be September 6th at Mulvane.
