The Augusta City Council will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
The biggest issue on the agenda is the potential of sending a one-percent sales tax increase to Augusta voters in November.
The sales tax would be used to address water supply issues for the city.
The council will also review the status of property cleanup and repairs at 1627 Robbins St. The property owner began cleanup on the property but the council will review whether the work has been sufficient to meet the requirements of the council.
The memorandum to the council reported that roof repairs at the Chamber of Commerce, Power Plant and over the elevator shaft at City Hall have all been completed.
The wing dike approved at the last meeting that will protect residents around Garvin Park from flooding will begin Sept. 10. The work should take 2-3 weeks to complete. After that work is done, the resurfacing of Lakeview Dr. can begin.
