  • Sports complex dedication Saturday: celebration planned

  • The dedication for the BG Products Veterans Sports Complex in El Dorado will be held Saturday with gates opening at 5 p.m.

  • Pre-game Activities will include a rock climbing wall, face painting by the Butler Spirit Squad, temporary tatoos by the EHS cheerleaders. National Guard equipment display, free ice cream, live fan interviews played on the scoreboard and autographs by 2012 Miss Kansas Outstanding Teen Stevie Mack.
     
    About 5:30 p.m. Music groups EHS Encore, Butler Headliners and EHS Drumline will perform.
     
    5:45 - 6:05 p.m. Stadium Dedication Ceremony - Remarks by dignitaries-Mayor/Stadium Authority Chair Tom McKibban, Campaign Chairs Ray Connell and Bob Lane, USD 490 Superintendent Sue Givens - Butler President Jackie Vietti; Ribbon cutting at mid-field by Authority representatives, BG Products and student athlete representatives; and a balloon launch.
     
    6:45 p.m. Butler vs. Blinn Pre-game activities-Presentation of colors by KS National Guard. Raising of flag by Wounded Warrior, Reading of Pre-amble by Ray Connell, Singing of National Anthem by Tom Murry, video display of 2011 Butler Football highlights and Butler Football arrival on field.
     
    6:57 p.m. Coin toss by BG Products to start the game.
     
    Post game Fireworks to be held following the game.
