  • Lily Lake archery project members met with other county archers at McDonald baseball stadium in El Dorado, on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012.
    The meet started at 8:30 a.m. and continued into the afternoon, with four sets of flight times in both 3D targets and FITA (Federation Internationale de Tir a l'Arc (International Archery Federation) classes.
    The 3D target classes were for fun and practice with 12 animal targets set up at various distances.
    The FITA classes were at 20 meters with two sets of six arrows shot, and at 30 meters with two sets of six arrows each.
    The FITA class was a state qualifying class, with the State 4-H Archery Shoot being held Oct. 6, 2012, at Topeka.
    Those Lily Lake club members attending were Dahlia Crook, Jeremy Cox, and Logan Thompson. All three qualified for the state meet!
