Frances Marie (Williams) Trapp, 92, of Augusta, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2012.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, and service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Frances was born in Valley Falls, Kan. on Nov. 16, 1919, to Archie Williams and Irma (Madorin) Williams-Tucking. She married James Trapp on March 9, 1939 in Topeka. In 1984, he preceded her in death. Also, preceding her were her parents; stepfather, Ed Tucking; son, Harold R. Trapp; her brothers, Harold R., Earl C., and Bert A. Williams, and a stepsister, Ruth Leu.
She is survived by: son, Bruce Trapp (Rose) of Newton, Iowa; daughter, Kathleen Turnage (David) of Waller, Texas; daughter-in-law, Robetta Trapp of North Newton, Kan.; grandchildren, Sa`ndor, Justin (Margaret), Josh, James (Hillary), Nathan, Matt (Samantha), Jason, Brandon, and Gretchen (Doug); nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, Augusta United Methodist Church, or the James Trapp Engineering Scholarship in care of the Wichita State University Foundation.
