  • We need the 1 percent sales tax for the water problem! Don't take it for something else. Please listen!

I agree, If you don't like it here - move. Otherwise try to be positive in your speech and actions. It's okay to have suggestions for making it a better town, but be more positive and supporting to those who are working hard to make it a better place.

Belinda, thank you for enumerating a few of the many acts and actions which put a lie to the condescending statement, "Augusta is a tired sad little town."

I agree with others wh have written in about front yard trash pickup. It's next to impossible to drag the contraption back and forth for someone as handicapped as I and many other residents in Augusta...why bother a good situation as it already is?...do you want the trash containers being blown out in the streets? It's an accident ready to happen. It's unsitely and very unattractive...think this through before you change a good thing we have going.

Yes, Sue Jones is controversial. She has common sense. She is right. No one is moving here, nothing is going on. Your article wasn't fair. You need to take her remark in context. She made a general statement and you clobbered her. It was really in poor taste.

Great article from Belinda Larsen regarding Augusta. Sure sounds like a place I want to live! Thanks for reminding us.

I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed Ms. Larsen's article on Tuesday about Augusta. I always enjoy Mr. Bush's articles. The Gazette is a great newspaper.

Augusta is a sad town and the sooner people face the truth, the better. Nothing good is happening around here. That lady on the city council is right.
