Doris J. Henderson, (Gibson), 83, passed away at her home on Aug. 7, 2012. Graveside service to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Walnut Valley Cemetery. Mom admired many people and loved God. Her parents and family top the list, followed by presidents J.F.K., and Bill Clinton. She was a big fan of Mother Teresa, Elvis Presley, John Travolta, Marilyn Monroe and Princess Diana.
Mom had a passion for politics and the democratic party, and was always up on current events. In her younger years, she enjoyed being with family, dancing, playing saxophone, and the piano.
Doris was born on Feb. 28, 1929 to Eddie and Grace Gibson (Robinson) of El Dorado. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Craig A. Henderson; husband, Delmar E. Henderson; and brother, Theodore (Ted) Gibson. Doris is survived by her son, Chris D. Henderson; brother, Eddie (Ed) E. Gibson; and her grandchildren, Brandon L., Devin A. and Corinn A. Henderson.
Doris loved her family very much and will be profoundly missed. Rest in peace mom, thanks so much for always being there for me, all you've done for me, and for all your advise. I love you so very much and know that you will continue to watch over us. You will always be in our prayers and in hearts, and will never be forgotten.
Kirby-Morris Funeral Home has the arrangements.
