To the Gazette:
I am writing you as a concerned citizen. Every day I walk through Garvin Park. Intermittently for the last two years, the water hydrant on the west side nearest the dam has leaked.
Last summer I called the city water dept. No action was taken.
I called the mayor and no action was taken. This summer I phoned my city council woman.
The hydrant is still wasting water. I find it unconscionable that the city continues this blatant waste of water when the citizens are expected to conserve. I find this totally frustrating.
You may not be able to spurn any action either, but at least I got it off my chest.
