To the Gazette:
We recently drove to your city from Wichita, to attend the funeral of a good friend. My husband and I did not know where the United Methodist Church was located, so we stopped in the parking lot of a small shopping mall to make inquires.
I approached a lady who was just starting to leave the parking lot and asked for directions. She started to give me directions then said, “Oh, just follow me.”
We followed her into the parking lot of the church where she waved us goodbye, and she left before we could thank her.
I just want to compliment you on such a caring and courteous resident, who is willing to go out of her way to help strangers. I hope you will print this as our “thanks” to her.
