Dorothy L. Phillips, 97, of Wichita, died at the home of her daughter Debbie Dawson of El Dorado on Saturday evening.


Dorothy L. Phillips, 97, of Wichita, died at the home of her daughter Debbie Dawson of El Dorado on Saturday evening. The celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Crossroads Baptist Church in Wichita.  A visitation at the church  will be held Tuesday at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.

Dorothy was born May 6, 1915 in Pittsburg, Kan., the daughter of Orley and Lillie (Kirkwood) Hay. She was a charter member of the Crossroads Baptist Church and a life member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Surviving family include her daughter Debra and her husband Dale Dawson of El Dorado and Carol and husband Rick Ast of Wichita; grandchildren, Daniel and Amanda Dawson, Chris Dawson, and Megan and Brian Ast; and nephew, Richard Hay.

Memorials established with either Crossroads Baptist Church or Hospice Care of Kansas. Kirby-Morris Funeral Home is assisting the family with their arrangements.
