This month’s movie begins at 6 p.m. Aug. 2. Based upon a true story, the film chronicles the efforts of a reporter and a Greenpeace volunteer as they work together to free three gray whales that are trapped in the ice near the Arctic Circle.

The Library shows a family movie on the first Thursday of every month. Popcorn and drinks are provided, although outside food and drink are also permitted. Patrons are invited to bring pillows, blankets or camp chairs.
