  • Kenneth Joe Winters, 76, died Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. Celebration of his life will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home. Burial will follow at McGill Cemetery.
Kenny started at Flinthills Services in El Dorado in 1994. He was recognized as the outside greeter to most people and would often “fire people” as they walked near. Kenny spent the last 18 years living and working with his friends of Flinthills and those that worked closely with him were often the recipients of sloppy kisses and affectionate hugs. Kenny was quite the socialite, always visiting with anyone willing to slow down long enough to chat.  He knew no strangers.  He always had a handshake and hug for anyone.  Kenny was pretty soft on the ladies.  He would often proudly show off the posters in his room, and his life-size cutout of Elivira.  He was an amazing man who touched many lives inside and outside of Flinthills and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include brothers, Dean of Towanda, Duane of Wichita and Darrell of Potwin, and all his friends at Flinthills.  He was preceded in death by brothers, Clinton and Dilman.
A memorial has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas.  Contributions may be left at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home. To share memories  go to www.kirbymorrisfunerlhome.com.
