Danny Highbarger, 69, of rural El Dorado, died Tuesday, July 17. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21 at First Baptist Church, El Dorado.
He was born on Nov. 8, 1942 in Wichita, the son of J. D. and Mary (Sheldon) Highbarger. He graduated from Leon High School in 1960. Danny was a self employed carpenter and took great pride in the work he did. He was a Heartland Hospice volunteer; loved to play music on the harmonica; and enjoyed playing pool, gardening and fishing.
On Aug. 17, 1998 he was married to Margaret Smith in Wichita.
Survivors including his Maggie of the home are: his children and their spouses, Shelley and Mark Mitchell of Cabool, Mo., Dana and Eric Ewbank of Liberty, Mo., Glenn Riggs and Jorja Highbarger, both of El Dorado; brothers, Galen Highbarger and wife Kay of Leon and David Highbarger of Tulsa, Okla.; grandchildren, Leah, A.J., Kody, Chandler and Emma; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
