El Dorado failed to capitalize on its scoring opportunities and dropped a 4-2 decision to Derby at McDonald Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Broncos loaded the bases in the third, but Daniel Baptista popped up to end the threat. El Dorado scored twice in the fourth but could of had more.
Chris Godinez and Mitch Osburn hit one-out back-to-back singles. Andrew Perez follwed with a single to drive in Godinez.
Thomas Clay singled up the middle to drive in Osburn and leave runners at first and second. Arturo Corona grounded out to first, advancing the runners to second and third. But, Tyler Coughenour struck out to end the inning.
El Dorado got a leadoff walk from David Harris in the fifth but stranded him. The Broncos got a leadoff single by Baptista in the eighth but stranded him.
A night after scoring 13 runs on 20 hits, the Broncos struck out 10 times.

Josh Stone threw a complete-game two-hitter, and David Harris drove in six runs to pace El Dorado to a 13-0 victory over host Haysville on Monday night.
Stone struck out four and didn't walk any.
The Broncos loaded the bases with one out in the first and did not score when Brandon Lawrence hit into a double play. But El Dorado scored single runs in the second and third, then broke it open with a five-run fifth.
D. J. Luna walked to open the fifth and stole second. He went to third on Tyler Coughenour's infield out.
Thomas Clay walked and stole second. Harris drove both in with the second of his three hits.
After Daniel Bapitsta was hit by a pitch, Lawrence drove in Harris with an infield groundout.
Chris Godinez followed with a double to left, scoring Baptista. Mitch Osburn followed with another double, scoring Godinez. After a walk, Luna grounded out to end the inning.
The Broncos tacked on four more in the seventh with the big blow a bases-loaded double by Harris scoring all three.
The Broncos will be at home tonight against the Wichita Wheat Kings at McDonald Stadium starting a 7 p.m. Admission to home games is always free.
