Jill Lachenmayr will be the new assistant superintendent for academic affairs. For the past 15 years, she worked for Newton Public Schools, serving as an assistant superintendent in three areas, an elementary school principal and the director of elementary program and virtual learning. Prior to that, Lachenmayr was an elementary teacher in both Newton and Hutchinson. She has a bachelor’s degree from Emporia State University, a master’s degree and a district leadership program, both from Wichita State University. She has three daughters: Ashley and son-in-law Bruce, Brooke and McKenzie.
The new assistant principal at Andover Central Middle School is Brett Mohr, who has been at Belle Plaine High School the past nine years. He started his education career as a para-educator and then taught business at the high school. He also served four years at the high school assistant principal and athletics director, and the past five years as head boys basketball coach. Mohr and his wife, Heather, have been married nine years. They have four children – two girls and two boys – Brynn, Brody, Bridget and Brayson.
