G. Rita Beuttel will showcase her oils and pastels at the Andover Public Library Art Gallery from July 5 through July 31.
Beuttel has committed 45 years to the arts as a painter, lecturer, juror, exhibitor, competitor and teacher/mentor. Her art education is rooted in Eastern and Midwestern art schools. A lifetime of travel in the U.S. and abroad, as well as independent study, have fed and matured her approach to what she produces through the mediums of oil, pastel and relief carving.
She has been a gallery and studio owner in Maine and Kansas and currently has a studio and exhibits at Vintera Gallery in Old Town.
Beuttel is past chair of the Wichita Artist Guild and the Kansas Watercolor Society. She has a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Wichita State University and has completed four-year study programs at the Carnegie Museum of Art and the Pittsburgh Art Institute.
The art gallery at the Andover Public Library is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The Andover Public Library welcomes the opportunity for selected artists and groups to exhibit artwork for public viewing in our art gallery space. The library has chosen to provide this space for artists of diverse media and styles to display their work to the community.
