Despite not having any practice time, Augusta’s Single-A Legion put up a fight against Andover Tuesday at home.  The Orioles gave up a big six-run second inning and never recovered in the opener. Augusta had a lead halfway through Game 2 before Andover came back to win and complete the sweep. Augusta had the lead in the opening game, too. Mason Hiser led off the first inning with a single, then Preston Bevan was hit by a pitch. That set up Ian Rogers two batters later. Rogers crushed a 2-RBI line drive for a 2-0 lead.  After Andover took the 6-2 lead, Augusta came back with two runs of its own. Cody Wesbrooks and Hiser hit back-to-back RBI singles, but the Orioles stranded a couple runners to end the inning. Andover added two more in the top of the third for an 8-4 lead. The Trojans scored an inside-the-park home run off an Augusta error in the seventh to seal it. The Orioles were scheduled to play McPherson tonight, but those games have been canceled.
