Brent Riedy will be the new assistant principal and Athletic director at Andover High School for the 2012-13 school year. Riedy has taught math for eight years at AHS and has also served as football, basketball and track assistant coach.
He received his undergraduate degree from Fort Hays State University and his graduate degree from Wichita State University. He and his wife, Amber, have one son Braxton.
"We are pleased to have Brent join the administrative staff at AHS," Superintendent Mark A. Evans said. "His experience at AHS and his ability to lead will be a benefit to the school. I look forward to all that he brings to this position."
"Mr. Riedy is a teacher and coach who has proven his leadership abilities in both the classroom and on the athletic fields," AHS Principal Bob Baier said. "He will bring to Andover High School a fresh set of ideas to help lead our school in a positive direction. We are looking forward to working with him for years to come."
