  • Cassie Morrison to graduate Fort Hays State

  • Fort Hays State University announces that Cassandra Marie Morrison is a candidate for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Geography and Geographic Information Systems with a Specialization in Environmental Resources and a GIS Certificate at the commencement exercises held last Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Paul B. Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays.
    Cassandra is the daughter of Tony and Elizabeth Morrison of Augusta, and the granddaughter of Sylvia Reynolds and the late Wheeler Reynolds of Augusta, and the late Robert and Oma Dell Morrison of Lakewood, Calif.
    Her honors and activities include: Dean’s Honor Roll, Undergraduate Researcher / Department of Geosciences at Fort Hays State University, Activities Director for the Sternberg Geosciences Club, Aikido Club and Unite Campus Ministry.
    Her undergraduate internship was for the Kansas Adjutant General’s Office in the Office of Geospatial Technologies/Mapping (GIS).
    Cassie received an Associate of Science Degree in Liberal Arts from Butler County Community College in May 2009 and was a 2007 Augusta High School Graduate.
    Cassie has been accepted into the Fort Hays State University Graduate School Program that begins on August 20, 2012.
    She will be working toward a Master of Science Degree in Geography/Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
