Augusta's baseball team (10-10) will play against the Circle Thunderbirds at 6:45 p.m. Monday, May 14 for the first round of the Clearwater regional tournament. The Orioles split a home doubleheader with Circle during the regular season.  
Should the Orioles (10-10) advance to the second round, they would play the winner of the Mulvane-Rose Hill matchup at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 16. Mulvane finished the season 17-3 and claimed the top seed of the Regional. Rose Hill finished the season 4-16. Augusta had a lead for a large portion of its first game before a late rally lifted Mulvane.
Independence is the No. 2 seed and will play El Dorado. No. 3 Wellington will play Clearwater in the other first-round matchup.
The championship game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday.
-   Bluestem is the No. 2 seed in the Class 3A Regional hosted by Douglass. The Lions (16-4) host Belle Plaine (1-17) at 5 p.m. May 14. Douglass (2-16) travels the first round to Halstead. The winners of those two matchups play at 4:30 p.m. May 15 in Douglass.
