Despite falling behind 5-1 early, Augusta's baseball team slowly chipped away at the lead by scoring runs in each of the final four innings, including the go-ahead run in the seventh to beat Rose Hill 9-8 in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.

The comeback completed a sweep after the Orioles won Game 1 6-3 behind solid pitching from Logan Hiser.

Rose Hill threw a wild pitch, then made a throwing error on the relay to home, allowing two Orioles to score and tie the game 6-6 in the fifth. Ben Madison hit an RBI double earlier in the inning.

Michael Albright drove in a run in the sixth, then drew attention while stealing second as Dalton Wheat simultaneously stole home for an 8-6 lead.

Rose Hill put two runs on the board to tie the game 8-8 in the sixth. but Augusta scored the go-ahead run in the seventh and held off the Rockets in the bottom of the inning.

In Game 1, Augusta had two- and four-run innings. Hiser gave up just two runs in six innings. 

Augusta finishes the regular season with road games at Clearwater Monday, then returns to Clearwater the following Monday for the Regional tournament.
