Kesten Trebbe may be getting back into his groove.
Trebbe earned a 10th-place medal at the Wichita Collegiate boys golf invitational Friday in his most successful meet of the season. Trebbe came on strong during the middle of the season last year, and this could be the beginning of another run for him.
The rest of the Orioles performed well as the team took seventh place out of a dozen teams. Augusta had a team score of 339. Collegiate won the meet (307). Andover (332) was sixth.
Trevar Bevan shot well to finish with a score of 85 for second on Augusta. Brock Keazer shot an 87. Breck Winter was right behind him with an 88. Caleb Laubhan shot a 90 and Greg Slaton shot a 107.
Trebbe was six strokes behind Tonganoxie’s Colby Yates, who won the individual title with a score of 73. Andover’s Ryan Hoover took eighth place with a score of 78 to lead the Trojans.
