Augusta High School athletic director Doug Law announced the hiring of Tracy Anderson as the new girls basketball coach.

Anderson most recently served as the womens' head coach at Newman University from 2006 to 2010. She has coached at the NCAA Division-I level, serving as an associate head coach at the University of Texas-Pan America and head assistant coach at Bradley University. Anderson has also been head coach at Bethel College and an assistant at Cowley County Community College.

Her high school experience includes stints at Salina South and Ell-Saline High Schools.

Anderson will receive her Masters of Education in Counseling from Wichita State University this spring and join the counseling department at Augusta High School next fall.

Anderson is taking over the position vacated by former Oriole coach Brad Kohlman, who has departed to pursue his Master's Degree.
